ULTIBATCH - Industrial decontamination system

The standard configurable batch solution for large-scale production and research environments.

The Ultibatch was designed to offer a robust, cost-effective, and configurable batch solution for laboratories and industrial sites where effluent volumes exceed the capacity of compact systems. Available in single-tank or dual-tank versions with energy recovery, it combines tangential steam injection, a tubular cooling section, and full instrumentation for fully automatic operation. A solid, proven base, adaptable to the requirements of every site.

  • Treatment capacity: Up to 2,500 L/day (660 gal/day)
  • Double batch capacity: Up to 4,000 L/day (1,050 gal/day)
  • Effluent type: Aqueous and small particles
  • Decontamination level: F0 from 20 to 50
  • Patent: FR1363330

Why choose the Ultibatch?

The Ultibatch is intended for organizations that need a proven industrial solution without unnecessary over-engineering. Its standard batch design simplifies cycle validation, reduces operating costs, and facilitates integration into regulated environments. The dual-tank configuration, combined with an energy recovery section, allows for double the treatment capacity while controlling steam consumption. Compact for its class, fully instrumented and automated, the Ultibatch is operational where reliability and repeatability are non-negotiable.

Tangential steam injection for fast, homogeneous treatment

The main decontamination tank of the Ultibatch is equipped with a tangential steam injection system directly into the product. This technology guarantees a fast and uniform temperature rise throughout the entire treated volume, with no cold spots or risk of inhomogeneity. The agitation induced by the tangential injection keeps small particles in suspension throughout the cycle.

Single or dual tank configuration according to your needs

The Ultibatch is available in two configurations: a single-tank version for sites with moderate daily volumes, or a dual-tank version that can reach 4,000 litres per day. The dual-tank version also integrates an energy recovery section that preheats incoming effluents using the energy from treated outgoing effluents, reducing the system’s overall steam consumption.

Tubular cooling section for controlled discharge

Treated effluents pass through a tubular cooling section before discharge, guaranteeing an outlet temperature that complies with municipal sanitary sewer requirements. This controlled cooling eliminates any risk of damage to piping and ensures discharge compliance with Canadian regulatory requirements.

Full instrumentation and fully automatic operation

The Ultibatch is fully instrumented for automatic operation. Every cycle is controlled, monitored, and traced by the onboard automation system. This complete traceability facilitates system validation and the documentation required in regulated environments (GMP, ISO, BSL requirements).

Cost-effective and validatable solution for industrial environments

Designed as a standard batch solution, the Ultibatch benefits from a proven architecture that simplifies process qualification and validation. Its modular design and standard industrial components reduce maintenance costs and facilitate the procurement of spare parts anywhere in Canada.

Fields of application

Biological and biopharmaceutical production sites:
Suitable for production environments with high effluent volumes, strict protocols, and significant traceability requirements. Its standard batch design facilitates integration into equipment validation files.

High-capacity research laboratories:
Institutions generating large volumes of aqueous biological effluents from fermenters, bioreactors, or multi-user labs find a reliable, scalable BSL1 to BSL3 solution in the Ultibatch.

Contract manufacturing organizations (CMO/CDMO):
The dual-tank configuration and modularity allow the system to adapt to volume variations and frequent protocol changes without modifying the site’s central infrastructure.

High-volume healthcare facilities and diagnostic labs:
Centralized hospital labs and diagnostic platforms generating high effluent volumes benefit from an industrial solution compliant with federal and provincial Canadian biosafety requirements.

Sites requiring a high-capacity backup solution:
In the event of planned maintenance or primary system failure, the Ultibatch ensures effluent treatment continuity for sites where production downtime is not an option.
