MICRO – Laboratory decontamination system

High-capacity thermal decontamination of biological effluents, designed for constrained spaces.

Compact, standalone, and fully automated, the MICRO treats up to 300 litres of biological liquid effluents per day directly in the laboratory, without the use of chemicals. Equipped with an integrated energy recovery section, it guarantees a validated F0 50 decontamination level for every cycle, in a format optimized for restricted spaces and compatible with BSL1 to BSL3 environments.

  • Treatment capacity: Up to 300 L/day (80 gal/day)
  • Effluent type: Aqueous (water-based liquids)
  • Buffer tank capacity: 250 L (66 gal), 400 L (106 gal) option
  • Environmental certification: ISO 14001
  • Patents: FR3553689 / EP14738747.6 / CA2915774

Why choose the Micro as your laboratory decontamination system?

  • Total thermal inactivation, cycle after cycle Thermal treatment at 135°C (275°F) for 2 minutes guarantees the complete destruction of bacteria, viruses, spores, and heat-resistant pathogens. The F0 50 level is equivalent to 50 minutes at 121°C.
  • Zero chemicals, no waste management chain No bleach, no biocides, and no hazardous waste collection contracts. The MICRO reduces your regulatory footprint and radically simplifies consumable management. ISO 14001 certified.
  • Zero handling of contaminated effluents Fully closed and 100% automated system. The onboard PLC controls and monitors all cycles in real time. Liquids are never handled between production and treated discharge. Operator exposure risk: eliminated.
  • Integrated energy recovery The energy recovery section ensures the preheating of incoming effluents and the cooling of treated outgoing effluents, with no chilled water required. An efficient design that significantly reduces your overall power consumption.
  • Designed for restricted spaces, tested before shipping Specifically developed for installation in limited-access areas, the MICRO is factory-tested before every delivery and is operational as soon as it is plugged in—no complex commissioning required.
  • Cost-effective solution for research and education Mass-produced, the MICRO was designed to fit the budgets of university and research laboratories without compromising on performance or safety.
